Hospice - HIPAA Lessons Learned: Recent Cases, Enforcement Actions, and Settlements

As of June 30, 2021 the Office for Civil Rights has collected nearly $131 million in civil monetary penalties and settlements under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). In 2020, OCR received 27,182 complaints alleging HIPAA violations. This webinar will discuss recent enforcement actions and initiatives, and what providers can learn from them to prevent becoming the subject of a HIPAA complaint.
