Breathe It In: Inhaled Medication Formulations in Palliative Care

This webinar will review available inhaled formulations and drug delivery devices for commonly experienced symptoms. Correlations between disease progression and medication appropriateness will be reviewed. Patient cases will highlight the need for deprescribing and formulation rotations. A special emphasis will be placed on metered dose inhalers (MDI) and dry power inhalers (DPI).

1. Discuss commonly prescribed inhaled medications (including drug delivery devices)
2. Identify opportunities for deprescribing, based on patient prognosis and medication appropriateness
